One by one they were planted with no machines burning fossil fuels. Couldn’t have been done without the investment of several people’s energy. Thanks Terry, Erin, Natalie, Jenny, Nicole, Ellie, Genesis.

Re-forestation project #1 photos. Here’s an example of what we’re trying to fix. Just next-door, eroding washed out industrial agriculture. No diversity = well, nothing.

TREEEEES!!!!!

Earth Rising is about to do our first re afforestation project on about >3 acres. Converting a spot in the middle of industrial Agriculture to a mixed hardwood forest. Our hope is to make this a yearly tradition so that we can bring the forest back. It’s ultimately essential for our survival on several levels. As of now we’re paying for the first 200 trees out of pocket, if anyone would like to donate let me know! You’ll be rewarded with satisfaction and oxygen!

Here’s a couple photos of swales that were installed at a Yoga Farm in Grass Valley, CA. a couple years ago..  With a relatively dry climate (these pics we’re taken during the winter) these swales help to hold water higher in the soil before making it’s way to lower ground.  This helps to reduce erosion, conserve water, and prevent leaching of nutrients.
